The Embassy of Sweden in Kosovo, in collaboration with the Municipality of Gjakova, hosted the first-ever "Pop-up Embassy" event in Gjakova on October 2, 2023. The primary objective of this event was to showcase and promote the core values of Sweden, while fostering collaboration in areas of trade, innovation, and economic development. Simultaneously, it was an occasion to celebrate the robust bilateral relations that exist between Kosovo and Sweden.

The event offered a unique opportunity for citizens to engage with representatives from esteemed development partners. Companies such as Lindex and Volvo, along with organizations like Nordic Economic Chamber, Cultural Heritage without Borders, Connecting Natural Values and People (CNVP), the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund, and the Municipality of Gjakova, were present to interact with the citizens.

CNVP, in particular, took the opportunity to showcase the products of beneficiaries from the previously implemented SSPDF project, as well as those currently involved in the SUNREED project. This included an array of products such as honey, jams, and forest fruits including strawberries, raspberries, aronia, and chestnuts.

During the event, the Ambassador of Sweden in Kosovo addressed the attendees, expressing profound gratitude for the overwhelming support and participation. He underscored the historical significance of this event as the first-ever "Pop-up Embassy" organized in Kosovo. The Ambassador took a moment to recognize and thank all the development partners and citizens who played a crucial role in making the event a resounding success.

In response, the Mayor of Gjakova expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the Embassy of Sweden for their consistent and unwavering support to the people of Kosovo. He also extended his gratitude to the Ambassador for choosing the Municipality of Gjakova as the venue for this momentous occasion.

The event also featured captivating activities that added an extra layer of cultural enrichment. Attendees were treated with a performance by "I Dance," showcasing the vibrant artistic talent. Furthermore, a guided tour at the Hadumi Mosque, in collaboration with Cultural Heritage Without Borders, offered a unique glimpse into the rich historical and cultural heritage of the area.
