During 22-23 January 2018, CNVP participated in a meeting in Bonn on Development of international cooperation network for the forest extension organizations. Supported by the European Forest Institute (EFI), 24 institutions and organizations from 20 different European countries participated.

All countries shared their different experiences of providing extension services to private forest owners’ associations. CNVP outlined its experience of providing advisory services to private forest owners’ associations in Kosovo, Macedonia and Montenegro, and, in the case of Albania, to forest users’ associations. Bilateral meetings were used to discuss and agree future cooperation possibilities, including the joint application for donor-funded projects.

All participants agreed to work together, particularly developing European recognition and a common way of working, supporting nature conservation and sustainable forest management, as well as focusing on large policy goals, such as the role of private forests in the bio-economy and the provision of paid eco-system services.
