CNVP has become an associate member of the Partnership for Rural Europe (PREPARE).

This group of European non-governmental organizations promotes the strengthening of civil society and the promotion of multi-national exchange in rural development, with a focus on recent EU member states and the accession countries of Central and Eastern Europe. PREPARE’s programme has three main elements: country-specific national programmes; multi-national exchanges; and international networking.

CNVP shares PREPARE's belief that rural development is most successful and sustainable where:

  1. strong partnerships and networks are created at international, regional, national and local level;
  2. local people are encouraged to take an active lead in ensuring that rural development policies are relevant to their needs and designed to be financially sustainable; and
  3. public money is used to generate multipliers through public, private and communal efforts.
