CNVP Albania participated in the “Sweden on Tour” organized in Berat, Albania

On 30 March 2022, The Embassy of Sweden to Albania organized a tour in Berat, Albania, as part of its tours countrywide in Albania. This tour aimed to bring together and meet with public institutions, businesses, development partners and citizens from Berat to strengthen the relationship between Sweden and Albania.

There were many stands where all the partners displayed their work with their target groups in Berat. Several activities were organized during this one-day event, such as Pop-up Embassy, where everyone could learn about the Swedish -Albanian cooperation, Swedish culture, language and businesses, the foreign feminist policy, democracy and sustainable development and taste the “Fika”.

A football match between the Swedish Embassy football team and the municipality of Berat team was played in the afternoon, and a Catwalk movie was displayed in the evening.
CNVP Albania was part of the event, with its stand displaying lots of publications and MAP varieties grown in Berat, as one of the partners of the Swedish Embassy in Tirana and an implementing organization for the Local Economic Development (LED) project funded by Sida.

LED project partners from Berati representing Medicinal and Aromatic Plants sector, Gjedra company, local consolidators and MAP harvesters and cultivators which the project is supporting, had the opportunity to meet with the Swedish Ambassador Elsa Hastad and all the Swedish Embassy team in Albania and to learn about what the Embassy is doing to support Albania in general and Berat region in particular.

They shared their experiences in the MAPs sector and the opportunities and constraints this sector poses for all the related stakeholders.
This event created a refreshing atmosphere in the city, with lots of networking and socializing opportunities, and all the participants highly appreciated it. Some of the women representing MAP farmers from LED had never had a chance to attend such events and were very happy to be part of the event.
