Joint meeting of rural women from Prespa and a group of women from Albania

On November 21, in Resen, village Carev Dvor, North Macedonia, the Rural Women from Prespa met with a group of women representing various organizations from Albania.

The purpose of the activity was to exchange experiences with PONT partners for growing medicinal and aromatic herbs, as well as developing partnerships for sustainable protection of biological diversity in the Korab-Koritnik protected area, Diber Albania, as well as in Prespa, North Macedonia.

Participants in the visit were representatives of World Vision Albania, the Agritra-Vizion Center, the Diber Protected Areas Administration, as well as women from 10 villages, interested in the cultivation and management of medicinal and aromatic herbs. The project contributes to "Improving Livelihood by Preserving the Biodiversity of the Korab-Koritnik Natural Park".

Rural Women, on the other hand, are supported through the project "Empowering women for NTFP's development of Prespa" implemented by the organization CNVP, with financial support from PONT. The project aims to increase the internal capacities of the RWoP organization, for the use of bio products and non-wood forest products in the region of Prespa for catering activities.

The Rural Women of Prespa are well known for their hospitality, after the official part, both groups of women had the opportunity to socialize and enjoy the beauties of Prespa.
