CNVP Empowers Kosovo Delegation at UN Rural Women's Conference in Hungary

As part of the Sustainable Use of Natural Resources for Environment and Economic Development (SUNREED) program, representatives from various sectors, including the Agency for Gender Equality, Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Rural Development,  Ministry of Environment Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, municipalities and the business sector, joined CNVP at the 8th UN Rural Women Conference in Hungary.

The conference, hosted by the Hungarian Women's Union Association and Ministry of Agriculture in Hungary offered a dynamic platform for the Kosovo delegation to showcase their contributions to rural development and gender equality. CNVP's representative, Sebiha Ahmeti Ramaxhiku, along with Leonora Selmani from the Agency for Gender Equality, presented a compelling case study on Kosovo's efforts towards sustainable agriculture and community development.

Permanent secretary of Ministry of Agriculture, served as the event's patron, emphasizing the importance of empowering rural women in achieving sustainable development goals. The agenda included insightful presentations, case studies, and a roundtable discussion on "Women in Agriculture: Lifestyle, Priorities, Challenges" facilitated by CORTEVA Agriscience.

CNVP's presence and active participation not only underscored the commitment to fostering sustainable practices but also showcased Kosovo's dedication to rural development on an international stage.

Through knowledge exchange and collaborative initiatives, CNVP continues to champion the cause of sustainable natural resource management, gender equality, and rural empowerment, leaving an indelible mark on the global effort towards a more equitable and sustainable future.

This conference served as a platform for cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of rural women's voices in the pursuit of sustainable development and economic growth.
